"Merry Christmas"

 

 

     

    

     You will need:

 

n Materials "DOWNLOAD HERE".

n   Put the selections into your selection folder of PSP.

n   Open the tubes , Fonts in PSP and minimize all.

 

n   Filter __BKg Designer sf10 II_ - MURUs Wave.

     (This filter is in the zip with the Materials).

      Import this filter into your Unlimited 2.0 .

     

      The filter I have used are:

n   Filter; Graphics Plus Cross Shadow HERE.

n   Filter Unlimited 2.0 HERE.

 

      Let's get started.

      Have fun with this Christmas Lesson.

Pijltje. Take the arrow with you so you will know where you are.

      Preparations:

 

      Put your foreground to a dark color #311717.

      Put your background to a lighter color #a72a33.

      Change your foreground to a foreground-background gradient.

      Style lineair.

      With these settings:

01. Open a new transparant image of 700 x 500.

02. Flood fill with your gradient.

03. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian blur... and change your Radius to 30.

04. Effects - Artistic effects - Topography...

      Color is black.

      With these settings:

05. Effects - Plugins - Filter unlimited -

      __BKg Designer sf10 II_ - MURUs Wave.

      With these settings:

06. Effects - Distortion effects - Wave...

      With these settings:

07. Effects - Edge effects - Enhance...

08. Layers - New raster layer...

09. Selections -Load/save selection- Load selection from disk... and find Leidy Christmas 1.

10. Flood fill this layer with #a72a33.

11. Effects - Texture effects - Weave...

      With these settings:

      Weave color is your light color and Gap color your dark color.

12. Change the opacity of this layer to 50.

      Dont deselect.

13. Layers - New raster layer...

14. Selections - Modify > Select selection borders...

      Anti-alias NOT checked.

      With these settings:

      Put your foreground to the gold pattern.

      (Let's zoom in a bit) View - Zoom in.

15. Flood fill the selection with the gold pattern.

16. Selections - Select none.

      Your foreground is still on your gold pattern.

17. Activate your Pen tool.

      With these settings:

      Linestyle is Effen, the width is 1.50.

18. View - Rulers.

19. Hold down your shift-key and draw a line from the top at horizontal 100

      and pull it all the way down.

20. Layers - Convert to raster layer.

21. Layers - New raster layer...

      Change your foreground to your gradient.

      Style Sunburst.

      With these settings:

22. Selections - Load/save selection > Load selection from disk... and look for Leidy Christmas 2.

23. Flood fill the selection with your gradient.

24. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian blur... Radius is 30.

25. Effects - 3D effects -> Inner bevel...

      With these settings:

      Don't deselect.

      Change your foreground again to your gold pattern.

26. Selections - Modify - Select selection borders...

      Same settings as used in step 14.

27. Flood fill the selection with your gold pattern.

28. Selections - Select none.

29. Layers - Merge - Merge all (flatten).

30. Open your MagicOfChristmas_MistedByGini_11-18-05.

31. Edit - Copy.

32. Edit - Paste as a new image.

      When you are using your own image, make sure it's 273 x 306.

33. Layers - New raster layer.

34. Change your foreground to gradient.

      Style lineair.

      With these settings:

      And Change your background to your gold pattern.

35. Flood fill your image with the gradient.

36. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian blur... Radius is 30.

37. Effects - Texture effects - Weave... same settings as used in step 11.

38. Layers - Arrange - Move down.

      Move it a bit to the left with your Move tool.

39. Layers - Merge - Merge all (flatten).

40. Selections - Select all.

41. Image - Add border... 1 pixel.

42. Selections - Invert.

      (Zoom in quite a bit) View - Zoom.

43. Flood fill the selection with your gold pattern.

44. Selections - Select all.

45. Image - Add border... 10 pixel.

46. Selections - Invert.

47. Flood fill the selection with your gradient of step 34.

48. Effects - Plugins - Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow

      all at 50, just the bottom one at 128.

49. Selections - Select all.

50. Image - Add border... 1 pixel.

51. Selections - Invert.

52. Zoom in again and flood fill with your gold pattern.

53. Selections - Select none.

54. Edit - Copy.

      Back to your 700 x 500 image.

55. Edit - Paste - Paste as a new layer

56. Effects - Image effects - Offset...

      With these settings:

57. Effects - 3D-effects - Drop shadow....

      With these settings:

      Minimize your image again lolll.

58. Open your tube Kaars klein.

      When you are using your own image, make it 130 x 150.

59. Layers - New raster layer...

60. Flood fill this layer with your gradient of step 34.

61. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur... Radius is 30.

62. Effects - Texture effects - Weave...same settings as used in step 11.

63. Layers - Arrange - Move down.

64. Layers - Merge - Merge all (flaten).

65. Selections - Select all.

66. Image - Add border... 1 pixel.

67. Selections - Invert.

      (And again zoom in quite much) View - Zoom.

68. Flood fill the selection with the gold pattern.

69. Selections - Select all.

70. Image - Add border... 5 pixel.

71. Selections - Invert.

72. Flood fill the selection with the gradient of step 34.

73. Effects - Plugins - Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow... all at 50, just the bottom one at 128.

74. Selections - Select all.

75. Image - Add border... 1 pixel.

76. Selections - Imvert.

77. Zoom in again and flood fill with the gold pattern.

78. Selections - Select none.

79. Image - Resize... with 85 percent (Bicubic).

80. Edit - Copy.

 

      Back to your 700 x 500 image.

 

81. Edit - Paste - Paste as a new layer.

82. Effects - Image effects - Offset....

      With these settings:

83. Edit - Paste - Paste as a new layer.

84. Effects - Image effects - Offset...

      Change the vertical offset to -75.

85. Edit - Paste - Paste as a new layer.

86. Effects - Image effects - Offset...

      Change Horizontal offset to 160/ vertical offset to 0.

      Activate raster 3.

87. Layers - Arrange - Bring to top.

88. Activate your top layer, Layers - Merge - Merge down.

89. Edit - Repeat Layer merge down.

90. Effects - 3D-effects - Drop shadow... as in step 57.

91. Close off your foreground and change your background to the gold pattern.

92. Text tool,

      Find the font BickhamScriptFancy2.

      With these settings:

      Type Merry Christmas or any other nice text.

      Move the text to its place.

93. Layers - Convert to raster layer.

94. Effects -3D-effects - Dropshadow...

      With these settings:

95. Adjust - Scharpness - Sharpen.

96. Layers - Merge - Merge all (flatten).

97. Selections - Select all.

98. Image - Add border... 1 pixel.

  99. Selections - Invert.

      Zoom in again) View - Zoom.

100. Flood fill the selection with the gold pattern.

101. Selections -Select all.

102. Image - Add border... 15 pixel.

103. Selections - Invert.

      Change your foreground to gradient. 

      Style Sunburst.

      With these settings:

104. Flood fill the selection with this gradient.

105. Effects - Plugins - Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow... all at 50 just the 2 bottom ones at 128.

106. Selections - Select all.

107. Image - Add border... 1 pixel.

108. Selections - Invert.

109. Flood fill with the gold pattern.

110. Selections - Select none.

        Save as JPG.

        Finished.
